Grapeseed oil also known as Vitis Vinifera is an oil that is extracted from the seeds of grapes. These seeds are packed full of antioxidants and oligomeric proanthocyanidin complexes also known as OCPs.

OCPs help to combat free radicals and are well known for being an:

  • ant-inflammatory
  • antibacterial
  • antiviral
  • and anti-carcinogenic

High in proteins, minerals , Vitamin E, and linoleic acid Grapeseed oil is fantastic for hair.
It helps to soften hair by moisturizing and conditioning and also reduces split ends and frizz. Because it is such a light oil it doesn't leave hair feeling greasy, won't leave an odor and imparts shine. In the process of treating hair it will also moisturize and nourish the scalp or face to help eliminate dandruff/beardruff.

On skin many people use grapeseed oil because its an emollient. Main benefits of note are:

  • delaying skin aging due to antioxidant properties
  • protection against damage from the sun as well as sunburn relief
  • tightening skin and reducing stretch marks, wrinkles, and scars
  • minimizing dark circles around the eyes
  • restoring collagen
  • aid in reducing dermatitis, acne and eczema
  • treatment of oily skin. The oil cleansing method for oily skin should have Grapeseed oil in it to help reduce the amount of surface oil and also to unclog pores.

As you can see, Grapeseed oil is an extremely useful oil which is why it finds its way into many of Primitive Outposts products.
